Mass, Lecture Celebrate Educators

Two events celebrate current and future educators!

Fr. Thomas Rosica

St. John Fisher College will host a Mass for Educators on the Feast of Saint Thomas Aquinas, the Patron Saint of Educators, at 4:30 p.m. Fr. Thomas Rosica '80 CSB, will serve as the homilist. Fr. Rosica holds advanced degrees in theology and Sacred Scripture from Regis College in the University of Toronto, the Pontifical Biblical Institute in Rome, and the Ecole Biblique in Jerusalem.

At 6:30 p.m., Fr. Rosica will deliver the lecture, "The Challenges of Religious Communication and Broadcasting in a Digital Age." The founding chief executive officer of Salt and Light Catholic Media Foundation, Canada's first national Catholic television network, he served as the Media Attache to the Vatican's Press Office. He has authored many books and delivered international talks on topics related to religion and communication.
