Four Freedoms Week Exhibit: Traveling Trunk: The Holocaust in Poland

The Jewish Federation of Greater Rochester brings their Traveling Trunk exhibit at Lavery Library.

The first Traveling Trunk, Perilous Journeys, covered the rise of the Nazi Party in Germany and its effects on the lives of Jewish people in Germany and Austria during the Third Reich. It included artifacts from the lives of Rochester area survivors Rosemarie Molser and Kurt Weinbach. The second traveling trunk, The Holocaust in Poland, explores Hitler's invastion of Poland in September 1939 and focuses on the moral choices made by individuals during the Holocaust and how those choices affected their lives and the lives of others. The exhibits were created by the Jewish Federation of Greater Rochester's Center for Holocaust Awareness and Information.
