Film Screening: Disturbing the Peace

Join the Mideast Studies Group and The Office of Multicultural Affairs and Diversity Programs for a film screening about the ongoing conflict in Israel-Palestine.

Date: October 9, 2017 - October 9, 2017
Time: 6:30 p.m.
Location: Basil 135

Sponsored by the Mideast Studies Group and The Office of Multicultural Affairs and Diversity Programs

According to the film's website, "Disturbing the Peace" follows former enemy combatants – Israeli soldiers from elite units and Palestinian fighters, many of whom served years in prison – who have joined together to challenge the status quo and say “enough.” The film reveals their transformational journeys from soldiers committed to armed battle to nonviolent peace activists, leading to the creation of Combatants for Peace.
