Author Keynote Address: Braiding Sweetgrass

Join the School of Arts and Sciences for two live-stream events with author Robin Wall Kimmerer as she discusses her book, Braiding Sweetgrass, this year's Rochester Reads selection.

In her book, Braiding Sweetgrass, Kimmerer offers a range of reflections beginning with the Creation Story on Turtle Island and addressing the issues facing the planet and human existence. The themes of interconnectedness and a reciprocal relationship with the living world are posited as the forces that can elevate ecological understanding and bring us into a closer relationship with nature.

Author Q&A at noon on Wednesday, Oct. 20

Attend a virtual reading and Q&A with Robin Wall Kimmerer, the author of this year's Writer’s & Books Rochester Reads selection, Braiding Sweetgrass. Writer's & Books will stream the live, sold out event, taking place at the Central Library of Rochester. Fisher will host a viewing of the live stream in Cleary Auditorium.

Later in the evening, return to Clearly Auditorium to view the virtual keynote address by Robin Wall Kimmerer, who will be live from SUNY Brockport.
