IRA Charitable Rollover
The now-permanent IRA charitable rollover helps you direct gifts to Fisher from your IRA.
- Easy way to make a gift from a major asset
- Excluded from your gross income: a tax-free rollover
- Counts toward your minimum distribution
- You must be 70 ½ or older at the time of your gift.
- The transfer must go directly from your IRA to St. John Fisher College.
- Your annual IRA gift(s) cannot exceed $100,000.
- Your gift must be outright.
The gift can be made only from an IRA. Gifts from 401(k), 403(b), and 457 plans are not permitted. The gift reduces a person’s taxable income, and no charitable deduction is allowed.
