Class of 1969 50th Reunion Class Gift
Each year, the 50th Reunion Class collectively gives back to the College in honor of their reunion milestone reunion.
Most recently, the Class of 1968 made gifts totaling more than $1.28M in honor of their 50th Reunion milestone. Now, in their reunion year, the Class of ’69 is confident in their ability to meet or exceed that goal.
A Challenge - One Way to Give Back for Reunion
In an effort to leave a legacy on campus and support the Upper Quad Residence Hall, slated for opening this fall with 155 new beds, Cornelius "Neal" Golding ’69 has challenged classmates to raise enough funds to name a space within this new building, located adjacent to Kearney Hall and directly behind Hermance Chapel.
$100,000: The Class of 1969 Group Study Room
Located on the second floor of the residence hall, these rooms include workspace and technology to enable to students to collaborate on projects conveniently down the hall from their rooms.
$125,000: The Class of 1969 Second Floor Lounge and Common Area
Comfortable furniture is complimented by natural light from the bay window overlooking Lavery Library and the rest of the Fisher campus.
$150,000: The Class of 1969 Main Lounge and Common Area
A welcome and comfortable space will be the central meeting place for residence in the Upper Quad Hall, with entrances from both the south and north, as well as an open community kitchen.
Pledges and Gifts
Gifts or multi-year pledges for the Challenge to fund the named space in the Upper Quad Residence Hall will count toward one of the naming opportunities described above. There will be a dedication of the named space during the 50th Reunion celebration in September, so all gifts and commitments to that naming effort must be made by August 31, 2019.
Honor Your Time at Fisher
Should you choose to designate your gift toward the Class of 1969 Challenge – a study space or lounge in the Upper Quad Residence Hall, or designate your gift to other priorities on campus – ALL GIFTS and COMMITMENTS made between June 1, 2018 and December 31, 2019 will count toward the Class of 1969 50th Reunion total.
