Registration Fee:

$1,500 for the first person from each organization and $150 per person for each additional colleague from that organization.

The Graduate Human Resource Development program at St. John Fisher College is proud to announce Facilitating Organization Development: Providing Background and Tools to Enhance Performance.  This is Rochester’s first, and only, Professional Certificate Workshop designed for Managers, HR, OD and Training professionals, Change Agents, and others charged with designing and implementing Organization Change and Performance Improvement

This three-day Professional Certificate Workshop will provide you with the foundation, tools, and research-based ideas to enable you to lead successful organization development and change, that others ‘buy into’, and that improves your group’s ability to compete and deliver.

You are encouraged to attend this workshop with colleagues from your organization and there is no limit to the number of colleagues you may invite.  It is to your advantage, and will help with the development and roll-out of your organization’s OD action plan, to attend this Workshop with at least two other colleagues.   

Organization Development (OD) Certificate Program

This workshop has two primary objectives:
  • Participants will receive an overview of the history of OD, tools and techniques and competencies for organizational change.
  • Participants will receive hands-on guidance and consulting with real-life issues in their organization.
Who Should Attend?

HR/OD Professionals, OD Consultants, Performance Consultants, Training Professionals, and Managers involved in Implementing Organizational Change

Program Benefits:

Participants will:

  • Understand key factors related to OD and change initiatives.
  • Have grounding or relevant background in concepts tools related to OD and Change
  • Understand the actions necessary to lead practical change.
  • Receive expert guidance in developing a plan for implementing change back in the workplace.
  • Earn a Certificate in Organizational Development from the Graduate Human Resource Development Program

DAY ONE: 

  • Define the keys to Change Management
  • Use action research to help assess and diagnose change needs
  • Gather perceptions, feed them back, and plan for action in a change effort
  • Design and implement effective OD interventions

DAY TWO:

  • Make change happen, evaluate results, and consolidate knowledge
  • Demonstrate selected competencies of an OD facilitator and process consultant
  • Describe the Appreciative Inquiry Model (AIM) as it is used to guide change in groups
  • Summarize recent developments in OD and Change Management

DAY THREE:

  • Work with your organizational colleagues to develop an action plan
  • Receive coaching and consulting from experts to fine-tune the action plan.
  • Pull together concepts and learning from days one and two and then recognize opportunities to apply.

Presenters

FEATURED PRESENTER:

William Rothwell Ph.D., SPHRWILLIAM ROTHWELL Ph.D., SPHR, is President of Rothwell and Associates, Inc.; a full-service consulting firm that offers services in Organization Development and Succession Planning and Management. He is also Professor of Human Resource Development on the University Park campus of The Pennsylvania State University. As a consultant, he has worked with over 35 multinational corporations. As an academic, he heads up the #1-ranked graduate program in HRD in the USA. 

ADDITIONAL PRESENTERS: 

SETH SILVER, Ph.D., is an independent management consultant, working as Fulcrum Consulting, Inc., which has provided services to over 50 for-profit and non-profit organizations.  His expertise is in transformational leadership, empowerment, and creating “Workplace Covenants” between managers and their organizations.  Seth is an Assistant Professor in Graduate Human Resource Development at St. John Fisher College and has published articles in several popular and academic journals.  Seth received his Doctorate in HRD from The George Washington University. 

KAREN BARROW, MSOD, RODC, is president of Baybridge Consulting.  With over 20 years of experience in OD, she has worked with 100% of Rochester’s Fortune 50 firms, as well as small businesses, non-profit, and the government.  Karen developed the Emerging Organization Change Model™ based on her work in the field of executive development, group dynamics, and strategic change.  She is a published author and an Adjunct Faculty member at Nazareth College.  Karen received her Masters in OD from American University.
