Fisher, Nazareth, and American Cancer Society Team Up for "Relay for Life" on April 1-2
St. John Fisher College's student organization "Colleges Against Cancer" (CAC), along with Nazareth College and the American Cancer Society (ACS), will host the 10th Annual Relay for Life on Friday, April 1 and Saturday, April 2. The 12-hour event celebrates, remembers, and fights back for all those who have been affected by cancer.
The event will start at 7:00 p.m. on April 1 and run through 7:00 a.m. on April 2 in the Student Life Center. To date, over 200 participants have registered and $7,955 has already been raised! One hundred percent of the proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society.
Because this is the Relay's 10th anniversary, the theme is "Time Capsule: A Decade in Review." There will be live entertainment including Steve Moakler, Big Tuna & The Fisherman, and Jake George. In addition, there will be a variety of games with chances to win prizes. Food will be provided by Lackmann Culinary Services.
Students are encouraged to register with a team or create their own team (family and friends invited as well!) The registration fee is $20, and participants can register online at http://main.acsevents.org/site/TR?pg=entry&fr_id=29276. Those who raise a minimum of $50 will receive a free ACS Relay for Life t-shirt.
