Orientation Information for Transfer Students

Each year approximately one-third of Fisher's new students are transfers. Although you've experienced college life before, every school is different. This orientation is designed for transfer students who are new to Fisher or who have been away from the college for awhile – there’s been a lot of growth at Fisher! If you’re not sure whether you should attend, consult the Office of Academic Affairs at (585) 385-8034 or academicaffairs@sjfc.edu.

Orientation for all transfer students will take place on Tuesday, January 10, 2012, in the Cleary Family Auditorium, Kearney Hall. The formal program runs from 4:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., with abbreviated campus tours (it’s cold and dark this time of year!) offered at 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. for those of you who haven’t looked around. More extensive tours can be set up through the Office of Admissions.

This orientation is designed to help you with your transition to Fisher. Important academic issues and campus resources will be highlighted. In addition, you will be able to take a tour of campus, explore Lavery Library, participate in an introduction to the Fisher Computing Network for email, Blackboard and other computing resources.

Please complete the electronic response card by Friday, January 6, 2012.
