About Us
Welcome to the Wegmans School of Pharmacy (WSOP). The faculty and staff of the WSOP appreciate your interest in our school. This is an exciting time for the profession of pharmacy. Pharmacists nationwide play a vital role in the health care system through the medicine and patient information they provide. The demand for pharmacy professionals has increased dramatically, and pharmacists are the most visible, accessible, and trusted health professionals. It is also an exciting time at St. John Fisher College. Since the announcement of the Wegmans School of Pharmacy in January 2005, interest has been very high. The School opened on August 21, 2006, with an inaugural class of 55 students. The faculty of the WSOP is dedicated to providing a solid background in pharmaceutical care and to preparing its graduates to become effective members of the health care team for all areas of pharmacy practice. The WSOP is dedicated to setting ourselves apart from other schools by making teaching a priority, promoting excellence in the classroom, creating a student-centered learning environment, and maintaining small class sizes to ensure personalized attention to our students. Again, the faculty and staff of the Wegmans School of Pharmacy thank you for your interest in our program.
