Fourth Professional Year

The Wegmans School of Pharmacy has planned 7 Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences (APPEs) in the 4th professional year.  There will be 4 core rotations (Community, Institutional, Acute General Medicine, and Ambulatory Care) and three elective rotations to be chosen by the student and his/her faculty advisor and the Director of Experiential Education.  All APPE rotations will be 6 weeks long and a minimum of 40 hours per week.  Direct patient care is a requirement for all APPE core rotations.  Elective rotations may include pediatrics, drug information, infectious disease, ICU/critical care, emergency medicine, managed care, psychiatry, geriatrics, hospice, nutrition, kinetics, etc.
