Fisher Football Ranked No. 11 in Preseason Poll

D3football.com recently released its preseason poll for the 2012 season, ranking the St. John Fisher College football team No. 11. This is the highest preseason ranking the Cardinals have received since making the Top 10 at No. 10 in 2008.

Fisher received this ranking after advancing to the Elite 8 of the NCAA Division III Championship before bowing out to University of St. Thomas (MN).

Fisher opens the season on September 1, and will host Thomas More College, who is also ranked by d3football.com, coming in at No. 20. The highest pre-season ranked opponent the Cardinals will face is Salisbury University, who will bring its No. 7 ranking to Growney Stadium on October 6.
