A Message from President Gerard Rooney

I have very much enjoyed my first few months in this new role, and it’s hard to believe that this fall semester is almost behind us. I have had the opportunity to spend more time with many of your students either at meetings with the Student Government Association, lunch with our student ambassadors, or at a variety of campus activities.

Fisher Celebrates Opening of New Integrated Science and Health Sciences Building

St.-John-Fisher-College---Integrated-Science-and-Health-Sciences-Grand-Opening.jpg This fall, the College opened the new Integrated Science and Health Sciences Building, a 31,000 square foot science building which features two 100-seat classrooms, teaching laboratories including the Kilian J. and Caroline F. Schmitt Physical Chemistry Laboratory, lab prep room, faculty offices, and breakout spaces for student collaboration.

Journalism Students Work with Local News Station to Cover Rochester’s Hidden Gems

Designed to meet the requirements of a service-learning project, Dr. Jack Rosenberry’s journalism course sends his students out into the community to uncover “hidden gems,” interesting and good news about things happening in Rochester that aren’t being told. And, through a partnership with WXXI, the stories Fisher students unearth might find a place on the public news organization’s website or in its broadcasts.
