St. John Fisher College Observes Diverse Holiday Traditions with "Day of Celebration"

11/23/2009

On Saturday, December 5, St. John Fisher College will host its annual “Day of Celebration,” an all-day, campus-wide festival that showcases holiday celebrations from various races, cultures, ethnicities, and traditions. These observations include Kwanzaa, Three Kings, Hanukkah, Christmas, Asian New Year, Winter Fest, and Ramadan. This year, the focus of the Day of Celebration is the Filipino culture. The event is free and open to the public.

The festivities at the College will consist of a cultural marketplace area and stage in Cleary Family Auditorium in Kearney Hall that will feature dance, music, displays, food, and “make it and take it” arts and crafts.
