The Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. School of Education is currently hosting a program in partnership with the West Irondequoit School District that brings 10 high school students to campus every day, along with their teachers, where they do their regular classroom work. They are good students, working a little bit harder than their peers, as they are living with a variety of disabilities.

Mike McCarthy, Director of Safety and Security at St. John Fisher College, has recently released his second book, “Flight of the Wretched: a journey to the new world.” A book signing will take place in the Welcome Center on Monday, November 14, from 4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.

On Monday, December 5, St. John Fisher College will experience a first. For the first time ever on a local college campus, Fisher will host a TEDx event, created in the spirit of TED, the national nonprofit organization devoted to “Ideas Worth Spreading.”

Dr. Bernard Ricca, Director of the Graduate Program in Mathematics, Science and Technology Education, recently presented a paper at the Association of Mathematics Teachers of New York State (AMTNYS) Conference, which took place in Rochester in late October.
