Fisher’s Entrepreneurship Program Launches First Homegrown Entrepreneurs

In 2014, two St. John Fisher College entrepreneurial teams, Just Dangle Hockey and Maker Marketing Group, were selected as semifinalists in the New York State Business Plan Competition. Just Dangle Hockey moved forward and secured the People’s Choice Award at the state championship. In 2015, the campus community can expect to see more Fisher entrepreneurs making headlines. Fisher Announces 3+3 Legal Education Accelerated Programs with Michigan State University College of Law, Ohio Northern University

St. John Fisher College has announced a 3+3 Legal Education Accelerated Program (LEAP) with Michigan State University (MSU) College of Law and the Ohio Northern University (ONU) Pettit College of Law. The program will allow Legal Studies majors and Pre-Law students at Fisher an opportunity to earn both their undergraduate and law degrees in six years, while minimizing the cost of their education. Four P4 students from the Wegmans School of Pharmacy recently returned from a clinical rotation and medical mission to Pune, India. The trip lasted 15 days, with an intensive five-day clinic schedule where they treated over 1,700 patients. It was the School of Pharmacy’s 7th year participating in the project. Read More

On Monday, February 9, four local medical professionals will be on campus for a panel entitled, “The Whole Patient: Teamwork and Effective Healthcare Delivery,” co-sponsored by the Departments of Sociology, Anthropology, and Criminology along with the Wegmans School of Nursing. A familiar face paid a visit to the School of Business on Tuesday, January 27. Victor Salerno ’66, CEO of O’Connell Electric and the namesake of the Salerno Center for American Enterprise, spoke to Professor Tarry Hartmann’s graduate level Managerial Finance class. Head coach Marianne O'Connor Ermi picked up her 100th career win last Friday night as the St. John Fisher College women's basketball team recorded its third straight win with an 81-38 victory over host Houghton College. Her 101st win came the following day when the team beat Ithaca College 54-49. Read More
