Fisher’s Youth Year Fellows on a Mission to Promote Literacy

Through the Rochester Youth Year Fellowship, two recent St. John Fisher College alumni are spending their first year as graduates promoting literacy among area elementary school students. Melissa Guck ’15 and Burnette Woody ’15, were both selected as fellows in the Americorps*VISTA-sponsored program, which places recent graduates at community-based organizations for one year to create or expand initiatives that address the various challenges facing youth and families in Rochester.
