Appraisal and Recognition Employee Performance ReviewsSt. John Fisher College believes that providing employees with performance feedback will help them perform to the best of their ability. The College’s Performance Review Process is designed to ensure that staff employees understand how they are performing in their jobs and how their work contributes to the overall success of the College. As part of this process, the Supervisor/Manager and employee work together in defining job responsibilities, identifying key skills, and setting performance goals that are mutually beneficial to the College and the employee. Recognition ProgramsAs a way of recognizing those Fisher members who do a good job everyday, as well as those who go above and beyond the call of duty, the Human Resources Department has identified three different levels of recognition:
Thumbs UpDo you hear yourself continually thanking people for their help? Do you wish you had a way of expressing your gratitude with more than just words? Members are encouraged to share these awards with one another when they observe good actions. Cards are available from the Human Resources Department to use to thank colleagues or members of other departments for a job well done. STARThese awards are to be given to employees by Supervising Leaders for significant achievement. Employees will have the choice of one gift from this award selection: Barnes & Noble gift certificate OR 5 day lunch pass at Bon Appetit OR Wegmans gift card. WOW - Client ServicesThis category is reserved for employees who have gone Way Out of their Way to provide excellent delivery of client services. Honorees will receive the following: Picture and write up in the College News & Calendar and a “Simply Certificate”. Clients may include students, parents, colleagues, etc. and here are some examples of awardable actions:
To request a STAR or WOW award for an employee, please complete the Employee Recognition Form and return the form to the Director of Human Resources. Because award supplies are limited, requests will be reviewed against the criteria outlined above.
