A program of DePaul, NCADD-RA provides research-based substance abuse prevention services to a diverse population through education, support, resources, advocacy and referral. Staff work to positively influence the social norms which perpetuate the use and abuse of alcohol and other drugs. As a member of the National Intervention Network, staff work with family members to help find assistance for their chemically-dependent loved one. NCADD-RA also provides a wide array of training opportunities for school and community professionals and lay people, as well as professionals in the health and human services community. NCADD has participated in the college’s Wellness Fair.
Evaluation and Treatment Services
We are in process of contacting area providers to assess their capacity and availability to serve college students with alcohol and other drug problems. As information becomes available, those agencies will be listed here. In the meantime, a current list of treatment providers licensed by the New York State Office of Substance Abuse Services is available from NCADD-RA as the Monroe County Treatment Provider Template [pdf].
