Fish 'R' Net Guide for Students
Accessing Fish 'R' Net
Fish 'R' Net can be accessed at http://fishrnet.sjfc.edu or from any place on Fisher's website with the Fish 'R' Net logo.
Choose Enter Secure Area and enter your Fisher ID (include the @ sign) and PIN. Your first PIN is your birth date in six-digit form (MMDDYY). When you access Fish 'R' Net for the first time, use the Change PIN option to create a PIN containing numbers and letters that will be known only to you.
The first time you login you will see the Terms of Usage statement. By clicking Continue you acknowledge your understanding and agreement to comply with the terms of usage.

General Tips For Students
- Inactivity for several minutes may result in your being logged out of Fish 'R' Net. If that happens, simply log in again.
- To protect your records, please change your PIN frequently. If you forget your PIN, do not guess, click the Reset Fish 'R' Net PIN option and follow the instructions on screen.
- After three unsuccessful attempts to login, your account will be disabled. Once your account is disabled you will not be able to log in and must call the Registrar’s Office at 585.385.8015 to have your account enabled for use.
- Grades and schedules are not mailed. Though your final grades will be available for viewing shortly after they are entered by your instructors, your GPA and end of term standing will not be updated until all processing is completed. Please wait at least five days after examinations end before you consider your GPA and end of term standing as final.
Using the Academic Functionality of the Secure Area
Student Services and Financial Aid - View your registration status and timeslot information. Register, add and/or drop courses. View and print your schedule, grades and unofficial transcript. View holds that might prevent registration. See your charges and payments. Make credit card payments. Review your financial aid information and accept your aid.
Registration - (Sub-menu of Student Services and Financial Aid)
Select Term - many options are term specific; if you have not submitted a term, this option appears when you enter a term-specific area.
Add or Drop Classes - used to register, add or drop classes. Availability is restricted to specific dates.
Look-up Classes - allows a search for classes to add when registration is available
Change Class Options - allows a change to the number of credits for a variable credit course when registration is available.
Student Schedule - displays your schedule in a grid. Note: courses without a scheduled meeting time and those which fall outside the meeting dates at the top of the screen will appear below the grid. To see the course details click on the course.
Student Detail Schedule - displays detailed information about your courses.
Withdrawal Information - contains information if you have withdrawn from all of your courses in the selected term.
Registration Status - displays registration related information including your earned credits and current curriculum. Minors or second majors are not shown. Contact the Registrar’s Office (585.385.8015) if you believe the information is incorrect.
Student Records - (Sub-menu of Student Services and Financial Aid)
View Holds - displays information about holds that will prevent registration or viewing grades and transcripts.
Mid-Term Grades - displays mid-term grades if any are entered for the specified term.
Final Grades - displays final grades. Print this page if you need a copy of your grades for reimbursement from your employer. Note: your cumulative GPA and academic standing are not updated until all end of semester processing is completed.
Academic Transcript - displays your transfer credits and Fisher courses.
View Bill - displays your semester tuition and fee charges and allows on-line payment.
Degree Evaluation - generate a comparison of your coursework to the requirements of your declared program.
Enrollment Verification-access the National Student Clearinghouse web site to print an enrollment certificate.
Account History - complete financial history of your account.
View Advisor E-mail Address - find the name and e-mail address of your advisor. Send e-mail to the advisor.
View Student Information - view your degree and program information.
Your Incomplete Grades-displays any outstanding Incomplete grades.
Financial Aid - (Sub-menu of Student Services and Financial Aid) Apply for Financial Aid using FAFSA Form. Review the status of your financial aid applications. Check status of document requirements. Review loans.
Personal Information - Change your PIN. View your address, phone number, e-mail address, and emergency contact information. View name change and social security number change information.
Change PIN - use to change your PIN to something you can easily remember. This is the PIN that allows your to enter Fish 'R' Net.
View Addresses and Phone Numbers - verify the information on file for you. The mailing address is used for college communications; please notify the Registrar’s Office if this information is not correct.
View E-Mail Addresses - see the e-mail address on file for you
View Emergency Contacts - if this page is blank please contact the Registrar’s Office to provide a name and phone number of a contact person for you.
Name Change Information - if you note an error in the spelling of your name or in your SSN, follow the procedures outlined here.
