Michael Allington, director of Technology Support Services at St. John Fisher College, participated in a panel presentation at the NYSERNET Tech Summit 2015 Conference, held on June 11 and 12, in Albany.
On December 29, while campus is closed, OIT will be upgrading the College’s phone system to the latest version of Cisco Call Manager. The current functionality of the phones and their feature set will not change. Any customization to the phone menus and line presences that you have will be maintained.
The Office of Information Technology (OIT) will be upgrading the PC computer labs and ITECs to Microsoft Office 2013 for the fall semester.
Gabe Simon, Media Support Specialist in the Office of Information Technology, recently won an Honorable Mention award at the 2014 SUNYWide Film Festival, held April 10-12 at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Fredonia.
Earlier this month, the Office of Information Technology launched the College’s new mobile application which will provide important and useful information for students, parents, faculty, staff, and prospective students.
One of the last classes students in the Wegmans School of Pharmacy (WSoP) take before they begin their rotations in real patient care settings involves the students being videotaped performing patient care activities in a simulated environment. The idea is that students will improve their proficiency and communication skills before interacting with the public.
Fisher’s own Andrew Auriemma, Technical Support Specialist, has been named the Help Desk Institute (HDI) Western and Central New York Chapter Desktop Support Technician of the Year.
