Computer Labs and ITEC Software Updates

OIT is preparing the software image for Spring Semester for computer labs and ITECs. Software applications will be upgraded to their latest versions and any patches will be installed. If you would like any additional software titles to be included on lab and ITEC computers for the Spring Semester, please submit your requests to OIT via email to helpdesk@sjfc.edu by December 17th, 2010. If you no longer require a specialized software title that you previously requested, please notify OIT so it can be removed to free up computing resources. Faculty members need to provide OIT with required new or updated back-of-the-book and specialized course software titles for installation and distribution. Software requests submitted by the due date will be included in the standard lab software configuration at the beginning of the spring semester. Software requests submitted after December 17th, 2010 are not guaranteed and will be processed on a first come, first served basis and deployed according to the systems maintenance schedule after the beginning of the semester. Due to the time necessary to test, configure, and distribute all of the applications used at St. John Fisher College, OIT asks that you submit your requests at your earliest convenience to avoid delays and disruptions next semester.
