Manage various academic and administrative aspects of your college account with Fish 'R' Net. Blackboard allows faculty to provide students with course materials, discussion boards, and more. Student Gmail is available from the Fisher intranet page. Check for real-time lab computer availability.

MS Excel 2013 - 10 New Awesome Features

Course Description: The Start screen, left edge displays recently used worksheets and a list of templates appear and can be pinned. Flash Fill tool detects patterns and enters data that follows a pattern. Recommended Charts shows a subset of chart types that are appropriate to the data that is selected. The Quick Analysis tool shows a range of tools for analyzing the data. A click of a mouse key can create a meaningful PivotTable by using the Recommended PivotTables. Power View is integrated and is typically used for analyzing large quantities of data from external data sources. Sharing files and work with other people via SkyDrive, share a to-do list, event planning worksheet with social network. Target Audience: Intermediate Class Limit: 6 Register for this Session

Analyzing Data Using PivotTables and PivotCharts

Course Description: A PivotTable can quickly combine and compare data, enable you to select data in an interactive way. Each column of data becomes a field that can be used in a PivotTable. A PivotTable can automatically sort, count, and total the data from an Excel spreadsheet and create a second table displaying the summarized data. New features of 2010 include Show Values (a way to try out several different calculations), six new calculations, and the ability to turn on or off visual totals.

MS Word 2013 - Easy Features Everyone Can Use

Course Description: The new Design tab consolidates Themes, Colors, and Fonts into one tab. A new visual element added to the Document Formatting tool allows you to preview a document style before applying. Alignment Guides allow you to line up images and other object in a cinch. The new Read mode re-sizes a document to a full window with onscreen arrows to flip through pages. The Comment Reply button captures an entire discussion within a single comment box, allowing for smarter collaboration. Open and Edit PDF documents without the use of a third-party application and also edit data inside tables or move images around. With the Border Painter tool you can format a table by adding different width and style borders with ease. New table features allow you to add a new row and/or column to a table. Course Description: OneNote allows users to collect, organize and share information in a non-traditional document format. Clip a screen shot, send a web page or an entire document to a notebook section with the improved Send to OneNote tool. Embed an Excel spreadsheet or a Visio diagram and update the data or drawing from OneNote. Insert an online picture directly from Flickr and other online service without saving the picture to your computer first.
