Checklist for Current Undergraduate Students
- Using your Personal Identification Number (PIN) from the U.S. Department of Education (if you have misplaced your pin, you can get a reminder at www.pin.ed.gov), complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). St. John Fisher College's priority deadline is February 15th and Fisher's school code is 002821.
- Complete the Express TAP application (ETA) online following the FAFSA, or the paper application mailed to you, or at www.tapweb.org. St. John Fisher College's undergraduate TAP school code is 0735.
- Review your Student Aid Report (SAR) from the FASFA for accuracy. If necessary, follow directions on your SAR to correct inaccurate items.
- Investigate private resources of financial aid for college. Check your school, local library, and online at websites such as www.fastweb.com.
- Fulfill housing deposits by college deadline.
- Promptly respond to any school requests for additional information or documents, such as copies of federal tax returns.
- Notify the Financial Aid Office of any outside scholarships, grants, or other resources you have received or will receive.
- Receive your financial aid award notice listing estimated aid eligibility. Review any accompanying information and contact the Financial Aid Office with any questions.
- Accept financial aid offered on Fish 'R' Net.
- If you are accepting a Federal Direct Student Loan, complete entrance counseling and the Master Promissory Note.
- If you are accepting a Perkins loan for the first time at Fisher, complete the Perkins Loan entrance counseling and master promissory note.
- Complete any financing options paperwork needed, such as payment plan form, Federal Direct Parent PLUS Loan promissory note, and/or private alternative student loan application. Additional information on Financing Options.
- Be alert to any billing notices and payment information provided by the Bursar's Office.
- Explore placement procedures and job availability if awarded work-study or find out about other student employment opportunities available on campus.
