Notes from the Toddler Room

Dear Families,

We welcomed our new friend, Mia, into our room this past month, and what an awesomely smooth transition that was! A perfect fit. We sure have been excited to be enjoying nicer weather nowadays and playing on our new slides and bikes! We are taking advantage of good temperatures and spending LOTS of time outdoors. As we welcome in our new month of May, we are sending reminders to you to go ahead and put sunscreen on your child before arrival each day, and if you have an extra empty drink bottle you could bring in, that would be greatly appreciated. We will bring water outside with us each day so we can stay hydrated. Speaking of nicer weather, please make sure that your child's cubby has weather-appropriate extra clothing, and double check that playground-safe shoes are available each day. (Sandals/crocs are perfect for indoors, but we need sneaks for running and climbing!)

May will be such a fun time. Of course we kick off the month with a week-long fiesta, since it is Cinco de Mayo time! Following fiesta week, we'll be saddlin' up beside yer little darlins... and gettin' the feel of cowboy life. It'll be a darn-tootin' great time, y'all! Very psyched about Transportation week, too... If your kiddo has a favorite vehicle they'd like to "show and tell" any of those days, please bring them in. Towards the end of the month we will be donning our chef hats and trying our hand at cooking, finishing out our final week of May with patriotism!

If anyone is planning on leaving us PRIOR to our last day of school (Friday, June 24), please let us know; Mary Beth is asking for a 2-week "heads up" time period. Speaking of leaving, this month we say goodbye to our friend, Max. Max's family is off on a new exciting adventure and moving to Binghamton! We will really miss Max...he is a good buddy to everyone and has always added so much happiness to our room. We wish them all the best.

As always, if you have any concerns or anything you'd like to discuss regarding your little one, please feel free to pop in or give us a call. We are here for you!

Sincerely,

Francesca and Shannon
