Arthur O. Eve Higher Education Opportunity Program
The Arthur O. Eve Higher Education Opportunity Program (HEOP) was created in 1969 by the New York State Legislature to help academically and economically disadvantaged New York residents gain access to the state's private colleges and universities.
For more than 40 years, HEOP has provided educationally and financially deserving students with academic, financial, personal and career counseling support in order to guide students toward educational success.
HEOP and its activities are supported by the New York State Education Department and St. John Fisher College.

"HEOP has not only given me the opportunity for higher education, but the tools I need to reach the highest of my potential. Here at Fisher we have built a close-knit community of reward after hard work. I come from a world of poverty, inequality and struggle. When you look at each one of us, we all share one thing in common: hunger for success. HEOP is helping us reach our goals."
