Arthur O. Eve Higher Education Opportunity Program
The Arthur O. Eve Higher Education Opportunity Program (HEOP) was created in 1969 by the New York State Legislature to help academically and economically disadvantaged New York residents gain access to the state's private colleges and universities.
For more than 40 years, HEOP has provided educationally and financially deserving students with academic, financial, personal and career counseling support in order to guide students toward educational success.
HEOP and its activities are supported by the New York State Education Department and St. John Fisher College.

"Through HEOP, I've not only become a better student, but also a better person. I've created many friendships that I know will last me a lifetime. I was able to attend Fisher with the funding HEOP provided for me and without that, I would not be in the great place that I am today. HEOP opened many doors and produced opportunities for me. I consider the people connected with HEOP the closest thing to family that I have at my home away from home."
