A Message From the Dean
Selim Ilter, Ph.D. Welcome to St. John Fisher College’s business programs. Building on a strong liberal arts foundation, College’s accounting/finance/MIS and management/marketing departments have provided our students with a comprehensive and well-rounded education in their respective areas of specialization since the very beginnings of the institution’s history. Offering concentrations and/or majors in accounting, corporate finance, financial planning, human resources management, marketing, management information systems, and general business, these two departments service one of the largest student populations on campus. A significant milestone in the history of Fisher’s business programs has been their accreditation by AACSB International which is recognized as the hallmark of excellence in management education. At the time this accreditation was gained, all business programs at the College were brought together in 2003 to form St. John Fisher College’s first professional school which was named the Bittner School of Business. Thousands of alumni in the region who occupy important positions attest to the excellent education offered by our highly qualified faculty, and offer current and prospective students opportunities in the future. Please feel free to contact our two department chairs or the Admissions Office if you need further specific information. Sincerely, Selim Ilter, Ph.D.
