The Bittner School Houses the departments of Accounting, Finance & MIS and Management & Marketing, as well as the MBA programs. In April 2003, the Bittner School of Business received a Certificate of Accreditation from the prestigious AACSB International. This accreditation puts St. John Fisher College’s business programs in the same company as the leading business schools in the area and the nation.

The programs at the Bittner School of Business are known for providing exceptional graduates to the professional and business community because of our commitment to achieving excellence in business education. To do this, we prepare students with an understanding of the current accounting, finance, and management theories, the practical applications of those theories, and the ethical problems which they might encounter in their professional lives. Our graduates are also prepared to adapt to the rapid changes of a global economy. The department members strive to be involved with all aspects of the students’ preparation for embarking on their professional careers.

Our Mission

“The Ronald L. Bittner School of Business prepares professionally competent and ethically responsible graduates for careers as managers and professionals primarily for local and regional business. The school emphasizes excellence in teaching, close interaction with students, and recognizes that excellent teaching is informed by faculty actively engaged in research and scholarship. The faculty members produce research published in peer reviewed journals, and other recognized outlets for intellectual contribution that advances the scholarship of teaching, business practice and disciplinary knowledge."
