03/17/2016For the more than 800 student-athletes at St. John Fisher College, a key factor to success on the field is preparation. And, thanks to a gift from Fisher alumnus Ralph Fornuto ’84, current and future Cardinal athletes will continue to enjoy a dedicated space on campus to review game film, meet with coaches, and prepare for their competitions each week. On Tuesday, March 15, the College formally thanked Fornuto for his generosity during a ceremony that dedicated the Fornuto Film and Video Room in his honor. Read More

02/11/2016Being a fan of the Buffalo Bills in the 1990s meant a wild ride of exciting highs, countered by devastating lows, as the team won an incredible four AFC Championships, but suffered heartbreaking losses in four consecutive Super Bowls. It’s an emotional history Bills fans know all too well, and one that Fisher alumna Michelle Girardi Zumwalt ’04 was able to help recreate as a producer of “Four Falls of Buffalo,” one of the newest installments in the ESPN “30 for 30” documentary series. 02/03/2016Through the Rochester Youth Year Fellowship, two recent St. John Fisher College alumni are spending their first year as graduates promoting literacy among area elementary school students. Melissa Guck ’15 and Burnette Woody ’15, were both selected as fellows in the program, which places recent graduates at community-based organizations for one year to create or expand initiatives that address the various challenges facing youth and families in Rochester. 02/01/2016On Monday, Feb. 1, Phillip D. Castleberry joined St. John Fisher College as the new vice president for institutional advancement. In this role, Castleberry will lead the areas of alumni relations; annual fund; major gifts; advancement services; planned giving; and corporate, foundation, and government relations. Read More
