Qualifications for Sports Hall of Fame
Qualifications: not necessary for perspective candidates to illustrate all of the following qualifications, except where asterisk indicates that those candidates MUST meet these criteria.
- Contributed to athletics and society.*
- Outstanding record or statistics.*
- Quality of character, sportsmanship and good citizenship.*
- Proven leadership.
- Contributed to well being of college and individuals.
- Alumni and individuals who have offered extraordinary service to the college athletic program.
- Achieved noted success as coach, professional sports position (i.e. administrator, referee, trainer, etc.).
- Earned varsity letter, individual athletic award, record statistics in/after leaving college.
- Two full seasons (one sport) at varsity intercollegiate level.*
- Athletic staff member or honorary member.
Number of years to qualify:

five years after graduation of leaving school, with good academic performance.
- Voting: 75% of voting Selection Committee.
Number of acceptable members allowed each year:
- No less than two, no more than five per year.
- No limit to times nominated.

- VP or Dean of Students
- Sports Information Director
- One alumni chosen by Athletic Committee
- Director of Alumni
- Athletic Director
- SWA
- Faculty Representative
- Two representatives selected by Athletic Director
