Lynn Donahue (Director, Center for Service-Learning and Experiential Learning Support)Peace and Social Justice Dr. Lynn Donahue received her Ed.D. in Educational Administration, with a concentration in Higher Education, from the University of Rochester in 2001. Her doctoral work focused on experiential and service-learning. She received her M.Ed. in College Student Personnel in 1992. She has taught at St. John Fisher College since 2000 in the Communication/Journalism Department and with the Service Scholars and Peace and Social Justice Studies Programs. Lynn served as the Co-Chair of the newly formed Service-Learning Advisory Board and was the Principle Investigator of the recently awarded Learn and Serve America Grant through the Corporation for National and Community Service. She is experienced in service-learning pedagogy, particularly in Social Change through Service, the College’s first stand-alone service-learning course. Prior teaching and counseling work was at the Warner Graduate School of Human Development, Center for Work and Career Development, and Learning Assistance Services at the University of Rochester. Publications and presentations have focused on student-learning outcomes of leaderless group discussions, learning communities, first-year programs, and service-learning. As a resident of the city of Rochester, she is committed to improving the lives of its neighborhoods and increasing the capacity of its non-profit organizations. |
