Earlier this month, Wegmans School of Pharmacy students, with help from faculty, developed an informational video to educate the community about what the flu is, what the vaccination does, its risks, and where to receive the vaccine.
The College's newly formed Educational Assessment Effectiveness Team (EALT) gave a panel presentation at the 2014 Assessment Institute in Indianapolis October 19-21.
Dr. Jane M. Souza, Assistant Dean of Assessment in the Wegmans School of Pharmacy, traveled to Milan, Italy in September for the International Association for Medication Education (AMEE) Conference where she presented a workshop.
Dr. Christine Birnie, Department Chair of Pharmaceutical Sciences, presented at the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) World Congress of Pharmacy in Bangkok, Thailand this past September. The theme for the 2014 congress was “Access to medicines and pharmacists today, better outcomes tomorrow.”
A group of faculty and students from the Wegmans School of Pharmacy and the Biology Department have published a peer-reviewed original paper in the American Journal of Pharmaceutical Education.
St. John Fisher College’s Lavery Library recently presented Dr. Mona Gandhi, Assistant Professor in the Wegmans School of Pharmacy, with the 5th Annual Dr. Mark Szarejko Faculty Information Literacy Award.
This academic year, St. John Fisher College has welcomed several new faculty. Some have previously served as adjunct faculty members, while others are new to the College.
In the midst of a jam-packed Orientation schedule for first-year students at the Wegmans School of Pharmacy, the group still managed to find an afternoon to put away their notes and iPads and disperse into the community to help where they could.
Dr. Jill Lavigne, Professor in the Wegmans School of Pharmacy, recently presented two peer-reviewed workshops with collaborators at the biannual International Social Pharmacy Workshop in Boston, Massachusetts on August 6 and 7.
