Andrea N. Traina, Pharm.D., BCPS is an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice at St. John Fisher College Wegmans School of Pharmacy, and a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist at the Endocrine-Diabetes Care and Resource Center in Rochester, NY. After receiving her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Albany College of Pharmacy and completing a Pharmacy Practice Residency with Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and The Endocrine Group, she remained on to complete an Endocrine Specialty Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Residency. During her time as a resident, Dr. Traina developed protocols to expand the pharmacist-run “Forteo Clinic” to include both Reclast, and Prolia. While managing the Osteoporosis Clinic for two years, Dr. Traina was referred nearly 600 patients.
Dr. Traina is a board certified pharmacotherapy specialist, a certified immunizer, has given several presentations, has published, and has received research funding in the areas of osteoporosis and diabetes management. She is currently implementing physician-referred pharmacist-run pharmacotherapy clinics in the areas of osteoporosis and diabetes at the Endocrine-Diabetes Care and Resource Center in Rochester, NY.
