M.S. in Nursing Programs

Master's Nursing Program Offerings

The Wegmans School of Nursing offers the following degree programs at the master's level:

  • Primary Care Family Nurse Practitioner (PCFNP), which qualifies you to seek certification and employment as a Family Nurse Practitioner. (46 credits, 600 clinical hours)
  • Adult/Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP), which qualifies you to seek certification and employment as a Nurse Practitioner in the Primary Care specialty. (46 credits, 600 clinical hours)
  • Adult/Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP), which qualifies you to seek certification and employment as a Nurse Practitioner in the Acute Care specialty. (46 credits, 600 clinical hours)
  • Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), which qualifies you to seek certification and employment as Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. (53 credits, 600 clinical hours)
  • Adult/Gerontology Clinical Nurse Specialist (AGCNS), which qualifies you to seek certification as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in the Adult/Gerontology clinical specialty. (43 credits, 500 clinical hours)

Post master’s certificate are available in all five certification areas.

The curriculum of our programs reflects a commitment to the fundamental nature of nursing, which is professional caring for people by providing compassionate, holistic, evidence-based care to diverse populations.
