Countdown to Commencement 2012 – Jazmin Hayes
This week’s “Countdown to Commencement” video features Jazmin Hayes, a Childhood and Special Education major. She was nominated by Dan Kelly, a lecturer in the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. School of Education.
“Jazmin always worked hard to stay on top of all of her responsibilities, both as a student and in her jobs,” said Kelly. “She maintained a healthy balance and demonstrated great success in both domains.”
Hayes has been involved in many activities both on and off campus. On campus, she participated in the First Generation Scholars program, Arts in Motion, and was a model in the Winter Gala. Off campus, Hayes dedicated herself to working two jobs to support herself through school. Additionally, she volunteers with Miss Sweet Potato Pie Children’s Company as a modeling coach and Hughie Snowden Jr. Foundation.
“Jazmin is always willing to put in the work it takes to be successful in all of her endeavors. I expect her teaching career will be no different. She knows what it will take to be a highly successful teacher, and I see her being the type of person who will accept nothing less than excellence,” added Kelly.
Meet this week’s featured senior, Jazmin Hayes! Best of luck to you, from everyone in the Fisher Family!
