Countdown to Commencement 2012 – Joseph Cimino

04/17/2012

This week’s “Countdown to Commencement” video features Joseph Cimino, a French and Adolescent Education major. He was nominated by Jason Polasek, Alumni Office Events Coordinator.

Cimino has inspired many during the course of his four years at Fisher through the many opportunities and activities he has been involved in. He is a First Generation Scholar, Relay for Life participant, Men’s Club Volleyball founder, Great Beginnings Ambassador, Senior Week volunteer, past Murphy Hall Resident Assistant, and past School of Arts Senator on Student Government Association. During the fall semester, Cimino studied in Paris, France.

“He has a big heart, and is always willing to lend a hand,” said Polasek. “I remember specifically volunteering for Project Community Convergence last spring and Joe was one of the team leaders at East High School. Even though he was just a junior at the time, he took charge of a group of alumni and students and truly inspired us to give our all.”

Polasek predicts that Cimino will be working in International Relations or as a high school French teacher.

“I believe Joe has endless opportunities and will continue to study languages,” he added.
