Fisher Alumna Named Superintendent of Brockport Schools

The Brockport Central School District has a new superintendent. Dr. Lesli Myers was recently chosen as Brockport’s next superintendent, replacing Superintendent Garry Stone, who is retiring at the end of the month. Dr. Myers is an alumna of both the M.S. in Educational Leadership and the Ed.D. in Executive Leadership programs at Fisher.

In addition, at the “Education Celebration” hosted by the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. School of Education in April, Dr. Myers was presented with the Distinguished Alumnus in Educational Leadership Award. This award honors an alumnus/alumna of the Educational Leadership program who has a distinguished career in leading schools toward excellence.

Since 2007, Dr. Myers has served as the Assistant Superintendent of Student Services for the Ithaca City School District. She also served in the Greece Central School District as Director of Student and Career Support and Coordinator of Student Support and Enrichment. Prior to that, she held the titles of School Counselor and House Administrator for the Rochester City School District, where she worked for 9 years.

Dr. Myers will begin her role as Brockport superintendent in early July.
