Schwartz Presents at Annual Meeting

On Thursday, April 26, 2012, Dr. James Schwartz from the Department of Inclusive Education made a presentation at the annual meeting of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics in Philadelphia, PA.

Dr. Schwartz presented a workshop entitled “The Global Positioning System and Elementary Mathematics: Some Major Connections.” In this presentation, Dr. Schwartz explained a variety of ways educators are using GPS technology to enhance their teaching. He then led the participants in a hands-on exploration of how to teach elementary students how GPS technology actually works.
