Dr. Michelle Erklenz-Watts was the recipient of the 2015 Dr. Mark Szarejko Faculty Information Literacy Award, given by Lavery Library. The award was presented by Dr. Gerard J. Rooney, president of the College, during the Library’s Fisher Scholarship Celebration, held on Thursday, Oct. 29.
Dr. Chinwe Ikpeze has published a new book, Teaching Across Cultures: Building Pedagogical Relationships in Diverse Contexts.
On Friday, May 1, the St. John Fisher College Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. School of Education held an “Education Celebration” to recognize and celebrate the College’s support for education, educators, and community leadership.
Dr. Kermin J. Martínez-Hernández, Dr. Chinwe H. Ikpeze, and Dr. Irene W. Kimaru published an article in the April issue of Educational Research International.
On Wednesday, March 4, St. John Fisher College’s Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. School of Education and Lavery Library will host the 17th Rochester City School District Annual Storytelling Festival. Last year’s festival, which is free to attend, attracted over 200 people to campus and included Rochester students in grades 3 through 8 who participated in a storytelling competition. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m., and the storytelling begins at 6:30 p.m. in a variety of classrooms in the Wegmans School of Nursing.
