Maples Named Editor of Literature Journal
Dr. Joellen Maples, Assistant Professor in the St. John Fisher College Literacy Department, was recently named the Book Review Editor for Signal Journal, a publication of the International Reading Association's Special Interest Group Network on Adolescent Literature.
Maples was chosen because of the “stellar and innovative work she has been doing in the field of young adult literature.” Additionally, Maples has recruited Allison Rioux, part-time instructor in the Literacy Department, to serve as Assistant Book Review Editor.
Signal Journal is published twice a year and is one of the premier academic journals that focus on using young adult literature in the classroom. One of the key features of the publication is the book review section, which offers teachers reviews of the most recent titles in the field.
