M.S. in Library Media (Teacher Librarian)
The M.S. in Library Media program is a 30-credit hour masters-level program leading to initial certification as a Library Media Specialist (for all grades) and qualifies candidates for professional certification in the candidate's original area of certification.
The curriculum includes 21 credit hours of graduate-level coursework specific to school librarianship, 6 credit hours of practicum, 6 elective credit hours in literacy for diverse learners, and 100 hours of supervised fieldwork.
Courses involve hybrid learning components in addition to traditional classroom courses. The program can be completed in one year, including summer, fall, and spring semesters.
