Exciting New Curriculum
As part of the B.S. in Marketing, Fisher has developed new courses in Internet Marketing and in Supply Chain Systems to keep you on top of ever-changing market trends.
These new courses augment traditional courses such as Promotion, Selling, Buyer Behavior, and Market Research.
You'll also be able to take classes in fields such as Advertising and Public Relations through the Media and Communication department.
Since its inception in 2010, Fisher's official AMA Student Collegiate Chapter has won several awards at the collegiate, regional, national, and international levels. These awards have raised recognition of the club with an irrevocable reputation of success.
The most recent chapter awards and accomplishments include third place for best communication of chapter activities in an exhibit competition, commendable mention in a vitaminwater case competition, and collegiate chapter excellence in communication, chapter planning, and community impact – all received from the 2015 International Collegiate Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Marketing Club was named Student Government Association's Best Academic Club and received an Honorable Mention: Best Publicity award in 2014-15.
Accelerated Time to an MBA Degree
As a Marketing major, you may qualify for the 4+1 MBA program which would allow you to complete your MBA degree within a year of your undergraduate degree.
Marketing Internships Spotlight
Samantha Barton '15
Samantha Barton spent the fall 2014 semester at Mason Marketing, a marketing firm located in Penfield, NY, as an Account Executive Intern.
Some of her daily tasks included attending meetings with art directors and marketing executives to discuss current client projects, sitting in on phone conferences with clients, and working on editing projects before sending them off to the copy editors.
She learned the importance of communication between the agency and the client, as well as going above and beyond with her work in order to completely satisfy the client's request.
