The School of Business welcomed new faculty this year, and named a new staff member to a position that helps business students land valuable internships during their time at Fisher.
This academic year, St. John Fisher College has welcomed several new faculty. Some have previously served as adjunct faculty members, while others are new to the College.
Dr. Hemant Sashittal, Professor and Chair of the Department of Management/Marketing, has had one book and one article published in recent months.
A total of 50 graduating seniors were honored on Friday, May 9, when students, their families and friends, faculty, and staff gathered in the Cleary Family Auditorium for the annual President’s Awards Ceremony. The awards were presented by Dr. Donald Bain and members of the Fisher faculty.
Junior Childhood and Special Education major Emily Smith and sophomore Management major Jacketta Collins can now add the 2014-2015 Ann B. & Martin F. Birmingham Student Volunteer Recognition Award to their résumés after receiving the award on Tuesday, April 29.
St. John Fisher College’s entrepreneurial team, Just Dangle Hockey (JDH), became the first-ever Fisher team to compete and win a state title in the New York State Business Plan Competition which took place in Albany on April 25. Company Founder Matt Keeler, along with his business partner, Nathan Woods, secured the “People’s Choice Award” in the product and services category in the state competition after winning the regional semi-finalist competition earlier this month.
Dr. Hemant Sashittal, Professor and Chair of the Department of Management/Marketing, and Dr. Monica Hodis, Assistant Professor of Management/Marketing, recently co-published an article in MIT Sloan Management Review.
The St. John Fisher College School of Business has a lot to be proud of this week after two groups of students were named semi-finalists in the 2014 New York Business Plan Competition (NYBPC).
Dr. Kamil Kozan, Professor of Management in the School of Business, recently had two articles published in internationally read trade publications.
In late February, Dr. David Martin, Dean of the St. John Fisher College School of Business, dropped into several classes to surprise 39 students with an invitation to join Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS), the distinguished International Honor Society for business excellence.
