Accounting Certificate Program

If you already hold a bachelor's degree in a major other than accounting, the accounting certificate program will prepare you to meet the requirements to take the CPA exam.

Accelerated Time to an MBA Degree

As an accounting major, you may qualify for the 4+1 MBA program which would allow you to complete your MBA degree within a year of your undergraduate degree.

Accounting Internships Spotlight

Michael Bonner

Michael Bonner '16

Michael Bonner, an accounting and finance major and Spanish minor, spent his last semester at Fisher serving as an internal audit and advisory services intern with Constellation Brands, Inc.

Through his internship, Michael was challenged daily with new experiences. In particular, he performed numerous reviews of the company's internal controls and was responsible for preparing for year-end audits focusing on the company's information technology and its relation to financial statements.

Michael was especially eager to apply learning from the classroom to actual work-related projects, which helped deepen his understand of many accounting concepts and general skills. "Communication skills are extremely important to develop for professional growth," he recounted. "Communication is half of the job, especially in an audit position."

As a senior, Michael was recognized with the Charles P. Wolfe Award for his outstanding achievement in accounting and high degree of character and integrity in his dealings with his colleagues. He is now pursuing a career as an audit associate with KPMG in Los Angeles, California.
