Bittner Faculty and Student to be Published in Industry Journal
04/12/2012
Two faculty members in the St. John Fisher College Ronald L. Bittner School of Business, along with a graduate student in the MBA program, recently collaborated on an article that will appear in an upcoming issue of The CPA Journal.
Drs. Karyl Mammano and Dan Acton, and student Colleen Fagan, submitted the article, entitled, “The Accountant’s Role in a Not-for-Profit Combination.”
According to Mammano, the article started as a project Fagan was working on for her Theory and Research course, regarding a new regulation for non-profits who merge or are acquired. Both she (Mammano) and Acton got involved because of their background knowledge on the topic, and thought it would be an ideal article because it’s such a current issue.
The CPA Journal is aimed at practitioners, educators, regulators, and other financial professionals. The goal of the publication is to provide its readers with insight and analysis on developments in the areas of accounting, auditing, taxation, finance, management, technology, and professional ethics.
