Thursday, February 21, was no ordinary day for the St. John Fisher College School of Business; it marked the 100th birthday of Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS), the International Honor Society serving business programs accredited by AACSB International (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business). And Fisher’s BGS chapter threw a birthday party.
This week’s “Countdown to Commencement” video features Amanda Scheutzow, a Management major with a Marketing concentration.
Dr. Hemant Sashittal, Professor and Chair of the Department of Management/Marketing, has had an article selected by the Harvard Business Review
for purchase on the publication’s website.
Dr. Kamil Kozan, Professor of Management in the School of Business, published an article in the Journal of World Business
with two co-authors from the University of Ankara in Ankara, Turkey.
Dr. Seyda Deligonul, Professor of Management at St. John Fisher College’s Ronald L. Bittner School of Business, has won a 2012 Award for Excellence from the Emerald Literati Network.
This week’s “Countdown to Commencement” video features Joseph Sinicropi, a Business Management major. He was nominated by Residence Directors Amanda Nasso and Matthew McKay.
St. John Fisher College’s American Marketing Association (AMA) Chapter recently attended the 34th American Marketing Association International Collegiate Conference in New Orleans, and brought home a total of six awards for work the chapter accomplished throughout the 2011-2012 academic year.
This week’s “Countdown to Commencement” video features Chris Rush, a Business Management major with a minor in Communication/Journalism. He was nominated by Tara Preteroti, Assistant Director of the Higher Education Opportunities Program.
The 9th Annual Rochester Business Ethics Awards were held on Tuesday, September 20, and St. John Fisher College student Michael Bohling received a $5,000 ethics scholarship from the Rochester Area Business Ethics Foundation (RABEF).
St. John Fisher College has welcomed 22 new faculty members to its roster for the 2011-2012 academic year.

Spend an evening with us at St. John Fisher College to learn more about the transfer admissions process. The evening includes presentations from faculty tailored specifically to your area of academic interest. You’ll learn what your desired degree program has to offer, including internship and job placement opportunities. Admissions representatives will be available to discuss transfer and financial aid processes, scholarship opportunities, and transfer credit policies.
