Fisher Students Compete in PricewaterhouseCoopers Tax Competition

On Friday, November 9, 45 St. John Fisher College accounting students competed in the annual PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) tax competition, sponsored by PwC. McNamara '77 with Lifetime Achievement Awards at an annual luncheon that took place on Thursday, October 4, at the Genesee Valley Club. This semester, 34 St. John Fisher College students are studying abroad in countries including England, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Australia, Ireland, France, and South Africa. Student and alumni achievements are recognized every spring at the Accounting Awards Banquet, held at the Riverside Convention Center in downtown Rochester.
Attended by nearly 200 alumni, students, and recruiters, it is an opportunity for students to meet professionals in various fields of accounting and to be recognized for their accomplishments during the past year.
The Accounting Alumnus of the Year Award is also given out at the banquet.
