Accounting Department Faculty

Dr. Daniel Acton, a CPA, teaches undergraduate financial accounting and auditing courses. Dr. Acton is one of the newest faculty members, joining the School of Business in 2008. He has previously been a faculty member at Bloomsburg University in Pennsylvania where he was a professor of Accounting. Prior to Bloomsburg, Dr. Acton has previously worked at Alfred University where he helped develop their MBA program and served as the department's first chair. He also served as Associate Dean and Director of Graduate Programs there from 1993-1998. He has recently been published by such journals as Northeast Journal of Legal Studies, The National Accounting Journal, The Ohio CPA Journal and Journal of Taxation of Employee Benefits.
