Statistics Field Experience
All Statistics majors complete field experiences in which they apply statistical principles and methods in real organizational contexts. Field experiences enrich your classroom education, expose you to new quantitative and research skills, and give you connections and credentials for starting a professional career.
Field experience (STAT490) is usually taken in the 3rd and 4th year. All Statistics majors must accumulate 6 credit hours of STAT490 for the major. Field placements are made by the Program Director in consultation with the student. Statistics majors are placed in work contexts that match their occupational interests.
