Deacon Tom Jewell Presents at Catholic Campus Ministry Association Convention

Deacon Tom Jewell from St. John Fisher College’s Office of Campus Ministry recently served as a workshop presenter and speaker at the biennial convention of the Catholic Campus Ministry Association (CCMA). The convention took place January 4-7 in Clearwater, Florida.

Deacon Jewell’s presentation was entitled, “Foundations for Peer Ministry on the College Campus.”

Using the experience gained from the Friends-In-Faith Peer Ministry program here at Fisher, the presentation focused on the foundational elements of prerequisite, recruitment, formation, and program operation. A question and answer session took place at the end of the talk to address highlights, challenges, and gain feedback from participants.

CCMA is the national association for Catholic campus ministers who serve at Catholic and non-Catholic colleges and universities.
